FAQ

Medical visa questions

How early should I apply for the e-Medical visa?

You can apply up to 120 days before travel. We suggest applying at least 7 to 10 days before your flight, so there is time to fix any issue.

Do you charge for the visa invitation letter?

No. The hospital invitation letter and our visa guidance are free. You only pay the official visa fee to the Government of India.

Can I extend my medical visa in India?

Yes. If the doctor advises a longer stay, the visa can be extended through the FRRO online portal with a letter from the hospital. We help you with the process.

How many family members can come with the patient?

Up to two attendants are allowed on the e-Medical Attendant visa. Others can come on a regular e-Tourist visa where eligible.

Which airports can I land at with an e-Medical visa?

e-Visa holders can enter through designated international airports including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, and selected seaports.
